May I choose not to choose my thoughts
If you are of mind to be
Threatened by forbidden emotions;
Horrified by malicious desires;
Alarmed by irrational anger;
Mortified by contradictions; and
Humiliations
Then, mind that you don’t
Condemn the mind that thinks
Out those condemnable thoughts
For thoughts arise of their own volition
By the ebb and flow of sensations
And revived memories of sensations
Urging you to heed their sweet
Or savage importuning
To receive their message
And let them go
